Evening with Adults

Parent education classes take place on Wednesday evenings at The Oaks. Class begins at 7pm and ends at 9pm. Light snacks and refreshments are available starting at 6:30pm.

These classes provide parents the opportunity to learn new parenting skills, deepen their understanding of child development, and connect socially with other adults. The evening classes address issues and concerns common to families with young children.

A wide variety of topics are addressed, including:

  • positive guidance

  • child development

  • fostering creativity

  • music

  • separation

  • death & loss

  • potty training

  • sleep

  • kindergarten readiness

  • other parenting issues of interest to the community.

Parents are welcome to come early to gather with committee members, schedule a conference with the director, to enjoy a snack, and visit with the community before class begins.
