The morning program is a developmentally appropriate preschool that serves children between the ages of 2-1/2 to 5. We offer a wide assortment of experiences every day, including: art activities, natural science, sensory exploration, carpentry, dramatic play, music, animal care, fine motor activities, pre-literacy and cooking. We also have a wonderful outdoor classroom that has space for large motor activities and contains a flourishing garden.
Parents participate in the classroom weekly, share in the operation of the school, and are actively involved in their child’s learning. At The Oaks we have a parent/child ratio of 1:4.
Children ages 4-5 are also eligible to participate in an enriching field trip program during their final year at The Oaks. This program provides the children a safe opportunity to practice their conversation and social skills, exercise their curiosity and a little independence from their parents — all great practice in preparation for kindergarten.
