What are The Oaks’ hours of operation?

  • Morning Program: Monday through Friday from 8:45am to 12:00pm
  • Afternoon Program: Monday through Friday 12:00pm to 5:15pm

When does the school year start and end?
Early September to mid-June. The Oaks is closed for the summer.

What age must my child be to attend?
Children must be 2½ years old by October 31st to enroll at The Oaks in the fall, and they may start attending once they are 2 years, 6 months old.

How many days a week can my child attend?
Children who are 3 years old or less by October 31st, may enroll for 2 or 3 mornings per week. Children who are 4 or 5 by October 31st, may enroll for 4 mornings a week. There is a total of 6 days per family when sending more than one child. The actual days your child attends The Oaks is determined by consultation with the Director and the Membership Chair.

How much is tuition?
Tuition is based on the number of days a child attends The Oaks each week:

Two days per week — $140/month
Three days per week — $210/month
Four days per week — $280/month

Does The Oaks offer an after school program?
The Oaks offers an extended day program for a small group of children. The program begins at 12:00 PM with two pick up times available to fit your needs, 3:30 PM or 5:15 PM.

  • 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM — $30/day
  • 12:00 PM to 5:15 PM — $45/day

What is the parental commitment?
One parent from each family is required to:

  • Work one morning a week at the preschool (8:30am-12:30pm)
  • Attend the weekly Wednesday evening parenting class
  • Participate on a curriculum committee (averaging 1 hour of work per week)
  • Help with the annual auction
  • Work one Environment Workshop day per year (about 3 hours)

This co-op model is an investment of time and energy. For your efforts, the rewards are profound:

How do I get my child on The Oaks’ waiting list?
Interested families must tour the school in person before being added to the waiting list.
